How to use this ev supercharging calculator
Estimate an EV Supercharging or DC fast-charging session cost, energy delivered, charge time, miles added, monthly spending, and congestion or idle fees.
Formula
Battery energy added = battery capacity × (ending charge % − starting charge %). Billed energy = battery energy added ÷ (1 − charging loss %). Per-kWh cost uses billed energy × station rate; per-minute cost uses estimated session minutes × minute rate. Fixed and congestion fees are then added.Worked example
Accuracy and limitations
This is a planning estimate, not a live station quote. Charging curves, battery temperature, station power sharing, taxes, memberships, dynamic rates, congestion thresholds, and idle-fee rules can change the actual cost.
